Just touching base, I'm still in Slovakia, we are leaving for Poland tomorrow. I have several things colored and ready to go but, I have no paper and there is NOWHERE to buy any !!!!!
I brought my copics some prestamped things to color and very little paper and dbl sided tape. Had I known I would have brought more. I,ve been to Vienna, Poland and Slovakia and no scrapbooking stuff or LSS anywhere!
I'm down to looking at gift wrap and thats pretty measly too. More later

Diane Duda

These are all from Diane Dudas stamps available at Funky kits . I LOVE these stamps! I'm using my nieces boyfriends mac and I have no idea how to crop these or fix the photos.
These are a few of the cards I've made while in Slovakia. Now, mind you I only had access to 6 or 7 papers! And there is NO where to buy any here so, they're alittle simpler then normal but, they were fun to make. I colored them all in with my copics and added alittle sparkle with my Spica pens! I actually colored these on the plane trip and everyone got up to come watch me color...it was really funny. I had just gotten this new set and I couldn't wait to get them inked up, then when I got here I was able to sit down and make cards with them, I can't wait for new ones from Diane Duda.

Slovakia

I'm in Slovakia visiting my niece, I'm hoping to get some cards up soon! The weather here is very hot and humid with thunder and lightening storms now and again. I drove one of their cars from Poland to here in the dark, rain and some patches of fog.
Hope to post again soon.

Scrapbook News and Review Bloghop!

Happy 4th of July and welcome to Scrapbook News and Review " Oh Say Can You See 4th of July Bloghop!" To Start this blog and be able to follow it all the way thru you need to start here.

I've created my Red, White and Blue card using a Keeto Stamp from Stampin Bella . If your

Her name is Kenya and she has her sparkler all ready to celebrate! I colored her in with my Copic Markers and then highlighted her with Atyou Spica Glitter pens, if you have not tried these they are awesome! I took some ribbon and created a bow and used glue dots to "hold" the ribbon where I wanted it to...sort of like a flag waving in the breeze! I added some red and blue sparklee Petaloo Flowers. I tore my red paper to give it a more casual look.

My technique I would like to share with you is what I've been working on, trying to learn more about my copics. I cut everything out with my cricut on white paper and color in my card! If you look in my May folder look at the Life is a Beach card, I used that technique. I even added real sand to the bottom, topped it with Glossy Accents to look wet! It's quite fun once you try it, it can be quite addictive. Hope you at least give it a try....

Now, you need to hop to Karolyn Loncon's blog to continue on ....have fun and thanks for visiting!

Cutters Creek Challenge

It will give you a link to Suzannes blog and you can hop around from there...very fun!! Thanks to the Design Team members for such a fun event!

PMS Birthday Lauren

I made this for the stamp of the month over at Stampilicious group (see blinkie at bottom). I used Paper Makeup Stamps Birthday Lauren Fairy! I colored her in using Copic Markers and adding a touch of bling with the Copics Atyou Spica Pens.

I tried to ink the edges and with my dog jumping up....it smudged a bit...so I wasn't totally happy with it, but, maybe I'll come up with a way to make myself like it!

I used a couple of prisma flowers and cut the big one down a bit to fit the smaller card. I also used some green magic mesh and a touch of pink ribbon.

Tommorow will be the launch of a bunch of new stamps at PMS , be sure to stop by and see all the new goodies...blinkies for them on the side and bottom!

I colored her with my copic markers and added some glitz with my Atyou Spica Pens, that I love, love , love!!!! If you've not tried these you should, I got rid of all my other glitter pens, these dry quickly and don't smudge!

I bet your wondering

By now your probably wondering why I named this blog Hooked on Stamps....I really am and will get some stuff posted soon. I was just trying to get some stuff up that I had done so my blog wouldn't be so empty!! So, bear with me...soon you'll see stamps!!!!

Princess Album- Chipboard

I used alot of stickers, Gel pens, Markers, Rubber stamps and more....
I also used some skittles that I colored with Ranger Alcohol Inks.
I used some color buttons to make some texture and did some doodling on several of the pages
This is my niece proving she "will" never grow up!!! Add some ribbon, a colorful tag.

In case you can't read it the back of the album says "Made with love for you...by Me"

I made this album as a surprise for my niece, she sent me some pictures of her trip, I gave them back to her in this album that I created with my Cricut and Design Studio. I bound it with my Bind it All.

Lifes a Beach Card

I used the new Lifes a Beach Cartridge to create this fun card. I colored in the chair with Copics I cut out the shapes around the bottom and colored them with copics (I cut everything out in white) Then I glued Sand all around the bottom to create the beach! I cut the letters out using Lyrical Letters.

CD Album

I made a Mini Album using old CD's! I bound it together using my Bind it all. I used some free paint chips to stamp my fairy image. This was a fun and quick way to make a small gift for someone and they can add their pictures to it.

Fire Hydrant chipboard book

I used alot of different type stickers and cutouts from Paper Pups Cartridge
I even put his little twig he found outside that amused him for a very long time
Here he is talking to us....
This is Petey with MooMoo our pet pitbull, they're best friends and are caught cuddling on and off all day. The morning starts with Petey running to give MooMoo kisses and chew on her ears for a bit.
This is Petey with my youngest son

I made this to put some of my new puppies baby pics in. His name is Petey , my husband bought him for me for Christmas. He was supposed to be a teacup, but, he's not! But, he does have alot of personality and wins over people who hate small dogs!!! He's brought alot of laughs and love to our family and I don't know how we could have gotten along without him.
I cut the hydrant out of chipboard and used the PaperPups Cart in Design Studio so I could resize it easily. I bound it with my ever faithful Bind it All. I'll try to be more astute at what I used on my project in the future as I never thought I'd have a blog!

Doodlecharms Mini Photo Album

I made this Mini Album using the Doodlecharms Cartridge.
I cut out alot of little shapes to use on all the different pages
I did alot of doodling with Markers, added some small cut out flowers with Stickle Centers

I outlined some of the cutout pieces with a marker to make it stand out a bit, since I used alot of patterned papers. Added some ribbon here and there.
I used a bit of Wired Ribbon and scrunched it up to make a bit of texture.

This little album was alot of fun to make , I got to try alot of different things, some I liked , some I did'nt but, thats how you learn....lol

Friday, May 15, 2009

I'm totally new to this so here we go... Here's 2 cards I made using my cricut and cuttlebug. I used the Mini Monograms Cartridge, Prima flower, and ribbon. On the Friends card I also used my Spica pens, which I love for their ease of use and they dry so fast. I totally threw away all my other glitter pens.
